In this session, members will learn about things to consider when making the leap from amazing instructor-led training to awesome e-learning.

Topics:

  • Learn about the type of content that translates well from instructor-led training to online training
  • Get tips for converting activities from classroom-based to independent online activities to keep participants interacting

Carla Sensing is an Instructional Designer with Nevada State Bank.  She has 21-years of elementary education experience, 3-years of Instructional Design experience, and 3-years of corporate training experience.  With this combined experience she has learned the ins and outs of converting classroom material into online e-Learning and the best practices as to when it should be done.  There is no one right answer when it comes to converting a class, and may components play into the best way to convert a class.  Carla is going to share with us the thought processes that she uses when converting face-to-face classes into online learning, blended learning, computer-based training and when to leave a class well enough alone.
