Accessibility for Online Learning

This session is created for anyone who designs, facilitates, or manages online learning programs. Learn about why and how accessibility, disability, and usability should be considered in online learning, types of assistive technologies learners may use, how to design with inclusion in mind, and how to evaluate your existing courses for accessibility. You’ll walk away with templates and resources to get started on course accessibility right away!

By the end of this session, you will be able to:

  • Discuss challenges facing disabled students who participate in online learning.
  • Understand types of assistive technology used by disabled students.
  • Make adjustments while creating online learning materials to ensure they are accessible and usable.
  • Evaluate accessibility and usability of your online learning materials.
