Designing for Behavior Change

Participants will learn how to design learning based on how the brain processes information and drives behavior.

This session will focus on the three keys to behavior change: specificity, connection, and context. Specificity allows the brain to activate a specific series of neurons to get the desired outcome. Connection between those neurons is made stronger through the use of either repetition or emotion to promote myelination. Context ensures the desired neural pathways will be activated when they are needed. Attendees will put these principles into practice by designing their own learning intervention in small groups during the session.
