From 2008 to 2011 High-Impact Learning Organizations (HILOs) – training functions that outperform at adding significant value to their businesses – had three times higher profit growth than non-HILO organizations*. About the speaker:

Bob Danna, Director, Bersin by Deloitte Deloitte Consulting LLPBob Danna has more than 35 years experience in human performance consulting, adult learning and associated management consulting services for a wide spectrum of commercial and government organizations. At Bersin by Deloitte (formally Bersin & Associates) he was instrumental in launching the firms Advisory Consulting practice, developing the firm’s branded WhatWorks® consulting methodologies, and delivering advisory support in talent management, leadership development, enterprise learning, measurement, and technology selection to numerous research members.

Recent presentations and workshops include insights and research on the blending of formal and informal learning, learning measurement, learning culture, integrated talent management, leadership development and the evolution of high performing learning and HR organizations at forums throughout the U.S. including a recent workshop on Learning and Development sponsored by the Chief Learning Officer of the U.S. Treasury Department, a Leadership Development Series Event on High Impact Leadership Development sponsored by DOE, a keynote presentation at the 2010 NTIS Fall Symposium in Washington, D.C., in Europe for the European Commission, recently in India at the NASSCOM HR Conference, and in Barcelona at the HRO Summit. He recently presented Bersin’s “Let’s Get Real About Measurement” workshop at the Enterprise Learning Conference and Expo in Anaheim, CA in 2011 and Washington D.C in 2012.

Danna has held executive management positions with RWD Technologies, where he served as a vice president in the Enterprise Systems Group, responsible for operations in the U.S. and Asia-Pacific; at General Physics Corporation, where he held positions of executive vice president, group president and member of the board of directors; at Knowledge Management Solutions, Inc., where he served as executive vice president, COO and member of the board of directors; at Convene.com, where he served as senior vice president and chief customer officer; and at Resource Management International, where he served as senior vice president of the management and technical services practice. In these positions, he consulted with Fortune 1000 clients worldwide, with extensive experience in Asia-Pacific and Europe.

Danna also served as a naval officer on active duty at the Naval Nuclear Power School as a division director and instructor, and in the reserves at NAVSEA Systems Command and the Office of Naval Research, leaving the service after 12 years as a lieutenant commander. He holds advanced degrees in physics and engineering, is a registered professional engineer, and has published or presented more than 40 papers on a variety of management, technical and enterprise learning topics.
