Questionnaire

If you are considering a Tribute to Learning submission, carefully consider the following questions (as appropriate) for the response for each section. Each section response is limited to 500 words, so be concise, yet thorough.

1.   Determining and identifying the need for their project/solution  

a)      What drove the need for change/improvement?  
b)     Was it a specific incident or event? 
c)      Was there a business metric falling short? 
d)     Did a process need to be more efficient?
e)      Was technology no longer meeting the organization’s needs?  
f)        Did the culture need to shift to align with worker/leadership needs?

2.   Deciding on the project/solution  

a)      Who was involved?  
b)     How did they determine who needed to be involved?
c)      How did they determine the measure of success?
d)     Was a cost/benefit analysis or estimated ROI work done?
e)      Did they refer to previous lessons learned or best practices to determine their path forward?
f)        What tools did they use to craft the plan?

3.    How did they execute the project/solution?

a)      Was it a formal project or an organizational goal?
b)     Was it short-term or long-term?
c)      What success metrics did they use?
d)     Did they update the project/plan at any time?  How?  Why?
e)      What resources were involved in the execution?  Any from outside the L&D team?
f)        Did they lose/gain resources unexpectedly?  How did they accommodate or adapt the plan?
4.    What were the results of the project/solution?  
a)      Did it solve what they had intended to solve?  Did it uncover any new needs?  
b)     Who was impacted by the results?  
c)      Did they experience any additional benefits/issues that weren’t anticipated?
d)     Were there any financial/reputational gains from the solution?
e)      How did the stakeholders feel about the results?
f)        How were the results reported?  Did they create a dashboard?  Hold an all-hands meeting? Other approaches?
